Editorial Policy

The Sovereign Producer exists because trust in production media is broken. Most of what a working producer reads is written to earn a commission, not to be right. This page is the standing record of how we operate differently — and it is enforceable: every article links here, and every claim below is one you can hold us to.

No affiliate links. Ever.

We do not take affiliate commissions, sponsorships, pay-for-placement, or free products in exchange for coverage. When we recommend a tool, instrument, or piece of gear, nobody pays us when you buy it — which is the only condition under which a recommendation means anything. If this policy ever changes, this page will say so before any article does. It will not change.

How our articles are made — and how you can tell

Every article carries a provenance record — the stamped block at the end of each piece, with its record reference beside the byline. It declares, per article: what AI assistance was used, what humans controlled, and when the piece was last verified. Two engines produce our work:

• AI-drafted, human-gated: drafted with AI systems, researched with AI plus live verification, then passed through a human editorial gate that checks every fact, claim, and credential before publication.
• Human-first: written by the editor, with AI research assistance.

In both cases, structure, judgment, and final language are approved by a human. Nothing publishes on a machine's last touch. We publish this openly because a magazine about verifiable human craft should be able to verify its own.

Facts, claims, and credentials

Empirical claims carry their conditions: when we publish test results, we publish how we tested. Professional credentials cited anywhere in this publication are drawn from a maintained, verified register — never from memory, never approximated. Reported information (what companies announced, what platforms enforce, what people use) is sourced from documented, primary material: published interviews, official statements, on-record features. We report rigs; we never guess them.

Opinion is signed

Verdicts, rankings, and taste — anywhere in this publication — are the signed opinion of the editor, formed in working practice. We separate them from reporting so you always know which you're reading. Where the editor personally dislikes something that the documented record shows professionals succeeding with, we print the record faithfully and the opinion separately, clearly marked as opinion.

What we sell, and where

This publication is funded by our own products — principally The Sovereign Producer Protocol — not by advertisers. We keep the two apart structurally: article bodies are journalism; the clearly-marked blocks at the end of articles are where we tell you about our products. We will never disguise one as the other.

Corrections

When we get something wrong, we correct it in the article, update its "last verified" date, and note the correction. If you find an error — factual, technical, or a credential — write to us via the newsletter reply address. Corrections make the record stronger; we want them.
